Order your Pizza or Subway sandwidch online, then buy a car and your
house on eBay.
The internet is to global commerce what the phone was to America 50
years ago. We are officially a global economy now and you need to get your
self in gear. Use it or lose it, or in this case use the internet to buy and sell goods and services or lose
the ability to compete in today's society.
Only a few years ago Internet Security was a big concern and people where
reluctant to use credit cards online. Today it is totally opposite, people are buying and selling without really
knowing how secure it really is. Like two sided coin the internet has two faces, one side safe the
other is very very dangerous.
Well it is more secure than before however you still need to be proactive
regarding using the internet with your finanancial information and important data.
Below find tips to help you navigate safely through the internet maze of traps
and land minds.
- Get Antivirus software like Norton. There are free versions but be
careful and research it out.
- Get Firewall Security software. ZoneAlarm is free and very good
- Second open a separate checking account that you have no more the $300 to $500
deposited in. Then keep a limited amount on a debit card for use on internet
purchases.
- Use passwords on your computer and don't log in when someone is standing over you.
it's now cool to ask people to respect your security.Ask them to politely turn away
while you log in.
- Never share a USB with files you can't afford to loss of have copied.
